Basic access steps as follows:

1. At the incoming/outgoing router / switch, set the corresponding port equivalent routing or link aggregation mode (can be Port Trunking, LACP or PAgP), to ensure the equal distribution of load within the various clusters on the firewall ;
2. To the upper router / firewall switch connect to the entry of firewall. The lower router / switch connect to the exit of the firewall;
3. Connectthe firewall heartbeat to heartbeat switches, connect the management port of firewall to management terminal .
